Yes. DINGYONG runs OEM and ODM orders from its own factory in Jieyang, Guangdong. Customisation covers laser-engraved logos on the handle or spoon bowl, PVD colour finishes, a new handle shape developed from your drawing, and printed gift boxes, insert cards, hang tags and barcode labels. You supply the artwork or a reference; the factory confirms a sample before production.
What can actually be customised
| Element | Options |
|---|---|
| Logo | Laser engraving on the handle, the spoon bowl or the knife blade |
| Finish | Mirror polish, satin, or PVD colour such as gold, black or rainbow |
| Handle | Existing catalogue shape, or a new shape developed from your drawing |
| Packaging | Poly bag, printed colour box, magnetic gift box, display stand |
| Printed matter | Insert card, hang tag, barcode label, outer carton mark |
The three models, briefly
| Model | Who designs it | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| OEM | You, or an existing catalogue item | Fastest route to a branded range |
| ODM | The factory | A proven design you brand, sometimes with exclusivity |
| Custom / bespoke | Jointly, from your drawing | Strong differentiation, requires new tooling |
For a first order, the practical route is OEM: take a proven shape, apply your logo and packaging, test the market, then invest in bespoke tooling once you know what sells.
How the order runs
- Brief — send the set composition, finish, packaging style and your logo or reference.
- Proof — we prepare the artwork placement and send it for approval.
- Sample confirmation — a physical sample is made so you can approve weight, balance, engraving depth and print colour before production.
- Production and inspection — every order goes through sample confirmation and pre-shipment inspection; factory audits and live video inspections are welcome.
One thing worth confirming in writing: whether the design is exclusive to you in your market, or whether the factory also sells the same shape to other buyers. Both arrangements are commercially normal — you just need to know which one you are buying.

Questions buyers also ask
What is the difference between OEM, ODM and private label?
OEM means an existing catalogue product is produced with your logo and packaging. ODM means the factory develops the design, or supplies a design it owns that you brand. Private label describes the result: a factory-made range sold under your brand. Most orders sit between OEM and ODM.
Do I need to supply finished artwork?
No. Vector artwork is ideal, but a photo, sketch or a sample piece you already sell is enough to start. Our in-house design team can assist from drawing to final product, and a proof is sent for approval before the sample is made.
